WP Link Tracker – WordPress Plugin That Cloak/Track Links With Dynamic Subids
WP Link Tracker Track and Cloak Links And Add Dynamic Subids Wherever, Whenever!

WP Link tracker is a wordpress plugin that allows you to cloaks links and track links from different sources by using dynamic subids. For more info, click here. (But don’t buy it there!)

There are several link cloaking plugins out there for wordpress, so why create another one? Well, there was this one feature I wanted badly that wasn’t available in other plugins. This feature is called the dynamic subids.

Dynamic Subids

What subids are, are simply special keywords/labels that you attach at the end of your links.

What this does is allow you to be able to add a tag to a link with the source of traffic (or whatever name you want).

-> Your WP Link tracker links will look like this: http://yoursite.com/go/linkname

-> And with dynamic subids your link will then look like this: http://site.com/go/linkname/wf

where "wf" is a subid if, for example, you advertised your link on warrior forum and attached "wf" as the subid of the link.

Each time you decide to put your link and want to track another source, you would then just attach a different subid name for example:

http://site.com/go/linkname/eza,
http://site.com/go/linkname/email,
http://site.com/go/linkname/blog1

Note, you can change "go" to whatever you want in the settings page.

What’s great With dynamic subids is, you don’t have to visit the control panel to create each link! You can immediately attach subids to your main link and whenever someone visits that url, the link will be added on the stats table automatically!

Another great use for having dynamic subids is when, for example, you have 3 banner images on your main blog page and want to try to see which "spot" gets the most click, you can use subids and label them as the "ad position" in your blog.

For example, on the top banner you would use the link http://site.com/b/name/top, and on the sidebar you would use something like http://site.com/b/name/sidebar, and on the bottom post, you can use somethingl ike http://site.com/b/name/bottom_post as shown on this pic:

Then when you view the stats table, you can immediately see under the main link which subid gets the most click!

Stats And Click History

Another great feature of WP Link Tracker is being able to view the click stats in a clean nice interface, giving you an immediate glimpse of the most clicked link. You can either sort the stats table by the most clicks overall, or most clicks for "today" or yesterday. Or you can sort it by the link name.

Additionally, you can view the click history of each link on a given date, and view further the breakdown clicks of that date by showing their time stamp, ip and referrer(if available). This is also what I saw lacking in some plugins – the click history. Others only showed the latest x(like 100) number of clicks. And others didn’t have the arrangement and interface I wanted. I wanted that when you go the main panel, you can immediately see the clicks and totals of each link

Keyword Tracker Module!

WP Link tracker was meant to be a simple link tracker only, but I thought of adding another very useful feature to the plugin – the Keyword Tracker!

What the keyword tracker does is convert words or phrases in your blog post and pages into trackable links!

That means if for example, you want to convert the words "blogging" in your post or pages into your affiliate link to a blogging product, that you can do! You won’t have to visit your wordpress post and pages one by one just to change that word into an affiliate link!

Wp Link Tracker

  • Nice clean interface
  • Dynamic sub ids allow you to track source of traffic
  • No more logging the control panel to create a different link for the same page each time you want to track for a different advertising source
  • Immediately see your links and their total hits in the main interface
  • Records raw and unique hits
  • Shows clicks on specific dates
  • Records a click’s time stamp,ip,and referrer
  • Convert words or phrases in your wordpress post and pages into trackable links with the Keyword tracker module.
  • See what pages clicks are coming from.
  • Simple and easy to use.
  • Ignore ips – ignore specific ips
  • For the keyword tracker, ignore bot *clicks* making sure your stats don’t get bloated from bot/spiders/crawlers and only comes from human clicks.
  • For advance users – you can echo(display) the subid on the page (gives you the opportunity to store the subid in the autoresponder or display the name of your subscriber in the page).
  • Easy to install, its a wordpress plugin! If you buy non-wordpress scripts like this, you might need to create databases and such before actually using the plugin. For non-techie, this part can be frustrating.
  • Super Cheap and affordable right now!
  • Unlimited Links
  • Unlimited installations on your domains! (Yes, you are not limited to a single domain at the current price!)
  • No monthly fees!

This is a very valuable plugin if you have squeeze pages, or landing pages. It’s even in wordpress so the installation is much easier! Moreover, I basically wanted the price to be this low so its much easier for you to grab it now!

Ideas on how and where to use WP Link Tracker

  • Great tool for advertising your squeeze page on solo ads, you would just add sub ids to your main links for the different solo ad sites you are advertising.
  • Giveaways – don’t know if they are popular today but when they were popular back then, I would signup on several giveaways and would create different links to my one squeeze page for the different giveaway sites. It was during these times that a plugin like this would be very useful.
  • Different Forums where you can put your signature and track on what forums your signature is being clicked.
  • Blogs -your blog or whether you post a guest article on a different blog. You can wu I’d that blog so u would know how many clicks u get from the blog.
  • When you are putting a link or a banner image on same page and on different spots on a page. You can just assign different subids for each spot.
  • Sending a link to different email groups or list.
  • Different article sites, if you have a link you want to use and post the article on different article sites!
  • On spots when where you just want to see if somebody would click your link there (remember use subids)!

Wp link tracker was designed to be simple and easy to use. It’s main purpose is to have a link cloaker for wordpress that does it’s job smoothly without the unnecessary features for tracking links.

Bonus (for advance users)

How to store the subid to your autoresponder so you will know how many subscribers came from a specific traffic source?

Have you advertise your squeeze on several places on the internet and used different subids for it like on 3 solo ads, 5 giveaway events, and on blog posts? Do you want to know how many people actually opt in from those sources? Well with WP Link Tracker, you can use php $_GET to echo or display the subid in the page, which means you can store the subid along with the user when he opts in your form just by creating an additional hidden field in your opt in form. You’re opt in form must be the html version where so you can tweak the value of the fields.

So what this means is if your subid is for example, "soload1", that subid will be store with the user when he opts in your form from the link http://site.com/r/linkname/soload1. WHen you browse your list subscribers, you can then just filter your subscribers by the subids and know how many people came from "soload1".

This is for advanced users because it will involve adding stuff in your autoresponder form (which must be the html version), but there will be a video showing you how to do this.
